S28 to C40 MagMotor Adaptor

This plate positions the output shaft of the new S28 MagMotor in the same place as the old C40 MagMotor when bolted in the old mounting holes.

To machine retaining ring grooves the rear "encoder shaft" end is held in a collet, while the output shaft end is held with a tailstock center.

"Look, Ma, no hands!" The case and magnet structure float while the shaft turns free (just don't short those leads).

To make the 0.039 inch wide by 0.015 inch deep groove, two cuts are made with a 0.020 inch wide "Thinbit".

New S28 Hubs w/Wheels

These are new hubs that fit the new S28 motors to my existing set of Colson 6x1.5 inch wheels. I used retaining ring attachment instead of older thru-shaft pinning.
